Surfability UK is a Community interest company that provides surfing lessons and experiences for people with disabilities and learning difficulties. Our mission is to make surfing as inclusive and fun as possible for people with additional needs.

As a CIC, our profits are reinvested into helping more people in our community access surfing activities. We run weekly surf sessions or can put on a session that suits you or your group. Summer surfing is at Caswell Bay and when it gets a bit cold in the winter we can surf indoors at the LC2, on their standing wave.

It takes lots of practice to be a great surfer but it is really easy to have loads of fun.  Adapted equipment such as tandem surfboards and beach access wheelchairs and trained coaches and volunteers let us provide safe, fun surfing that is truly inclusive for disabled people.

We also run sessions for people with learning difficulties such as dyslexia that focus on building core strength, balance, confidence and body awareness.

For more information or to book a session please contact Ben on 07517230427 or by email

Surfability UK CIC is currently fundraising to create a changing room for disabled people at Caswell Bay so if you would like to donate or have a fundraising idea please get in touch.

“My daughter can personally recommend Surfability and massively enjoys her Saturday mornings at the beach! Born with a hemiplegia, any exercise that helps strengthen her core is fantastic. Ben and his surfers have been brilliant with my daughter from day one, who is usually very shy when meeting people for the first time. They have been extremely welcoming and friendly and have helped boost her confidence already in a short space of time.” Stef.
